Texas High School Basketball - Little River Academy tops Alvarado
December 28, 2023: Little River Academy, TX 76554 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) and the visiting Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX), saw Little River Academy's basketball squad knock off Alvarado by a count of 63-53.
With the victory, Little River Academy upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Bumblebees travel to Rogers (Rogers, TX) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Rogers won 43-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Rosebud-Lott (Rosebud, TX)
Next up, the Indians play the Early Longhorns (Early, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Alvarado will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 45-37 non-league loss to Jarrell (Jarrell, TX).
