The Bishop Canevin Crusaders (Pittsburgh, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA), 61-57 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Crusaders (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA). The Saints go into the WPIAL 2A 2 test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Nazareth Prep was tipped by Rochester (Rochester, PA), 55-47, in a non-league test.

The Quakers now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host East Allegheny for a WPIAL 4A 4 bout on Tuesday, January 2.
