December 28, 2023: Calvert, TX 77837 In Thursday's non-league outing, the North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Calvert Trojans (Calvert, TX), by a margin of 73-41.
The Panthers (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 13-8 record. In their last outing, Mumford was trounced by Thorndale (Thorndale, TX), 55-45, in a non-league outing.
The Trojans now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Fayetteville for a 1A Region IV District 29 outing on Tuesday, January 2. Calvert will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Giddings (Giddings, TX). The Lions record now stands at 15-4.
