Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC), 72-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Miller School of Albemarle upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Forsyth Country Day (Lewisville, NC) to clash with the Furies in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Furies go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Forsyth Country Day won 78-46 in their recent non-league bout against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA)

Next up, the Hurricanes clash with the Summerville Green Wave (Summerville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Cape Fear Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Green Wave go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 71-62 non-league win over Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA).
