Louisiana High School Basketball - Chalmette can't hold off St. Helena College and Career Academy
December 28, 2023: Greensburg, LA 70441 The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Chalmette Owls to 38 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Cross for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. St. Helena College and Career Academy will battle a Tigers team coming off a 75-43 non-league win over Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-3.
The Owls (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against Tara (Baton Rouge, LA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Tara was nudged by Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA), 37-29, in a non-league contest.
