Missouri High School Basketball - Clayton nips Kirkwood
December 28, 2023: Kirkwood, MO 63122 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Clayton Greyhounds (St. Louis, MO) and the host Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO), saw Clayton's basketball squad hold off Kirkwood by a tally of 61-58.
With the victory, Clayton improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Parkway Central (Chesterfield, MO) to play the Colts in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Parkway Central won 49-45 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Charles (St. Charles, MO)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Lafayette Lancers (Wildwood, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Kirkwood will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 50-40 league loss to Eureka (Eureka, MO).
