December 28, 2023: Connellsville, PA 15425 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Connellsville Falcons (Connellsville, PA) and the visiting Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA), saw Connellsville's basketball squad hold off Mt. Pleasant by a tally of 55-51.
With the victory, Connellsville improves its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Falcons host Trinity (Washington, PA) to play the Hillers in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Hillers come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Trinity won 42-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Waynesburg Central Raiders (Waynesburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
