The Corinth Holders Pirates basketball team (Wendell, NC), was nudged 57-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC)

The Vipers now possess a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bunn for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. Vance County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 54-50 non-league win over Rolesville (Rolesville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-5.

The Pirates (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams enter the 4A Greater Neuse River contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Cleveland was nudged by Middle Creek (Apex, NC), 67-60, in a non-league contest.
