The West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX) basketball nipped the host Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX), 63-60 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bruins (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Bellaire (Bellaire, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Bellaire got by Clear Lake (Houston, TX), 76-59, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mayde Creek for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Cypress Ranch will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 84-77 league win over Tompkins (Katy, TX). The Rams record now stands at 7-11.
