Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ), 76-74 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Desert Edge upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-1. Willow Canyon won 72-69 in their recent non-league bout against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Dysart Demons (El Mirage, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Mica Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 12-1 season record. The Demons go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 72-69 non-league loss to Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ).
