Mississippi High School Basketball - Pillow Academy can't hold off East Webster
December 28, 2023: Maben, MS 39750 The East Webster Wolverines basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Pillow Academy Mustangs to 57 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wolverines now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Starkville Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. East Webster will battle a Volunteers team coming off a 59-45 non-league win over Houlka (Houlka, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 9-6.
The Mustangs (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Choctaw County nudged Oak Hill Academy (West Point, MS), 87-70, in a non-league contest.
