Illinois High School Basketball - Farmington tops Eureka
December 28, 2023: Eureka, IL 61530 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) and the host Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), saw Farmington's basketball squad knock off Eureka by a tally of 49-39.
With the victory, Farmington improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Farmers travel to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 12-3. Illini Bluffs lost 45-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL)
Next up, the Hornets play the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL) in a Heart of Illinois challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Eureka will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Earlville (Earlville, IL).
