Virginia High School Basketball - Floyd County topped by Jefferson Forest
December 28, 2023: Forest, VA 24551 The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Floyd County Buffaloes to 52 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cave Spring for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Jefferson Forest will battle a Knights team coming off a 51-47 non-league loss to Broadway (Broadway, VA). The Knights record now stands at 4-4.
The Buffaloes (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Broadway (Broadway, VA). The Gobblers come into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Broadway prevailed over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 51-47, in a non-league contest.
