The Texas City Stingarees basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Foster Falcons to 44 in the Stingarees non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Stingarees now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ball for a 5A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, January 5.

The Falcons (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Roughnecks enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Columbia was outscored by Brazoswood (Clute, TX), 55-49, in a non-league contest.
