In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting River Hill Hawks basketball team scored a decisive 74-49 triumph over the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) in a Howard County match, on Wednesday, January 3. River Hill will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record.
