December 28, 2023: The Colony, TX 75056 The The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX), 60-53 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cougars (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Lewisville (Lewisville, TX). The Farmers go into the non-league test with a 15-1 record. In their last test, Lewisville was tipped by Plano East (Plano, TX), 84-63, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rider for a 5A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 2. Granbury will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 76-53 non-league loss to Decatur (Decatur, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 6-11.
