December 28, 2023: Bristol, TN 37620 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) and the host Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN), saw Independence's basketball squad overcome Tennessee by a tally of 65-47.
With the victory, Independence improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Maryville (Maryville, TN) to confront the Red Rebels in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Red Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Maryville won 66-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Tennessee will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record.
