Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) and the visiting Joppatowne Mariners (Joppa, MD), saw Long Reach's basketball squad wallop Joppatowne by a tally of 85-50.

With the victory, Long Reach improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Lightning travel to Broadneck (Annapolis, MD) to confront the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Broadneck lost 54-52 in their recent non-league contest against Long Reach (Columbia, MD)

The Mariners (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Fallston (Fallston, MD). The Cougars come into the Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake contest with a 1-3 record.
