The South Lamar Stallions basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Lexington Golden Bears to 64 in the Stallions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Stallions now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fayette County for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4. South Lamar will battle a Tigers team coming off a 47-38 league loss to Gordo (Gordo, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-9.

The Golden Bears (3-8) will now prepare for their match against Clements (Athens, AL). The Colts enter the non-league match with a 3-12 record.
