Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Splendora Wildcats (Splendora, TX), 66-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Little Cypress-Mauriceville upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Bears travel to Bridge City (Bridge City, TX) to play the Cardinals in a 4A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Bridge City lost 67-48 in their recent non-league bout against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)
