December 28, 2023: Mabank, TX 75147 The Mabank Panthers (Mabank, TX) basketball felled the visiting Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX), 61-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX). The Bears go into the 4A Region II District 16 test with a 11-10 record. In their last test, Brownsboro thwarted Brook Hill (Bullard, TX), 51-45, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Sulphur Springs moves to 7-14 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Thursday, December 28. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 4-8. Central Heights lost 55-43 in their recent non-league match against Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, TX)
