Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield North can't hold off Simeon
December 28, 2023: Plainfield, IL 60585 The Simeon Wolverines basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Plainfield North Tigers to 47 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wolverines now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloom for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Simeon will battle a Blazing Trojan team coming off a 90-58 non-league win over Danville (Danville, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 7-3.
The Tigers (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars enter the SouthWest Prairie contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Plainfield South was nudged by Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL), 42-40, in a non-league contest.
