Wyoming High School Basketball - Sioux Valley nips Thunder Basin
December 28, 2023: Gillette, WY 82718 Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Thunder Basin Bolts (Gillette, WY), 56-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sioux Valley upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Cossacks travel to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 4-0. St. Mary won 66-39 in their recent league bout against Chester (Chester, SD)
Next up, the Bolts play the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Thunder Basin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Kernels come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 58-47 league win over Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).
