Alabama High School Basketball - Tuscaloosa County nips Smiths Station
December 28, 2023: Northport, AL 35475 Tuscaloosa County Wildcats (Northport, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL), 50-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Tuscaloosa County upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Spain Park (Hoover, AL) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 7-12. Spain Park lost 52-35 in their recent non-league bout against Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) in a 7A Area 4 bout, on Friday, January 5. Smiths Station will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
