Texas High School Basketball - Sudan tops Sundown
December 28, 2023: Sundown, TX 79372 Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), 55-43 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sudan upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Levelland (Levelland, TX) to play the Lobos in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Lobos come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Levelland lost 66-62 in their recent non-league bout against Hale Center (Hale Center, TX)
Next up, the Roughnecks play the New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Sundown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Leopards come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 57-41 non-league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX).
