Indiana High School Basketball - Altamont nips North Central
December 28, 2023: Farmersburg, IN 47850 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) and the host North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN), saw Altamont's basketball squad hold off North Central by a tally of 56-53.
With the victory, Altamont improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Robinson (Robinson, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Robinson won 43-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Sullivan (Sullivan, IN)
Next up, the Thunderbirds play the South Vermillion Wildcats (Clinton, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. North Central will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-15 record after their 45-10 non-league loss to West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN).
