Illinois High School Basketball - Annawan holds off Serena
December 28, 2023: Serena, IL 60549 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Annawan Braves (Annawan, IL) and the host Serena Huskers (Serena, IL), saw Annawan's basketball squad hold off Serena by a tally of 42-35.
With the victory, Annawan improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Braves host Knoxville (Knoxville, IL) to confront the Blue Bullets in a Lincoln Trail challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Blue Bullets come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Knoxville won 51-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Orion (Orion, IL)
Next up, the Huskers confront the Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) in a Little Ten challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Serena will attempt to improve on its 12-2 season record. The Norsemen come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 38-24 non-league loss to Putnam County (Granville, IL).
