The Big Walnut Golden Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Waynesburg Central Raiders to 15 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westerville North for a Ohio Capital - Capital contest on Friday, January 5. Big Walnut will play a Warriors squad coming off a 56-26 non-league loss to Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 2-8.

Next up, the Raiders play the North Royalton Bears (North Royalton, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Waynesburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 36-27 non-league win over Bayside (Palm Bay, FL).
