Oregon High School Basketball - North Salem overwhelmed by Canby
December 28, 2023: Canby, OR 97013 The Canby Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting North Salem Vikings to 17 in the Cougars non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hood River Valley for a 5A Northwest Oregon contest on Tuesday, January 2. Canby will battle a Eagles team coming off a 42-34 non-league loss to Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (Henderson, NV). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.
The Vikings (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Ashland (Ashland, OR). The Grizzlies come into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Ashland was routed by River Ridge (Lacey, WA), 53-23, in a non-league contest.
