Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), saw Charlottesville's basketball squad hold off The Covenant by a tally of 51-49.

With the victory, Charlottesville improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Black Knights host Goochland (Goochland, VA) to confront the Bulldogs in a Jefferson challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-7. Goochland lost 61-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Armstrong (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. The Covenant will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA).
