December 28, 2023: South Riding, VA 20152 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Freedom Eagles (South Riding, VA) and the visiting Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA), saw Freedom's basketball squad hold off Clarke County by a count of 45-40.
With the victory, Freedom upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA) to play the Colonials in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Colonials come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology won 67-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Manassas Park (Manassas Park, VA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Rappahannock County (Washington, VA) in a Bull Run challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Clarke County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 63-49 league loss to Central Woodstock (Woodstock, VA).
