Minnesota High School Basketball - Dover-Eyota topped by Winona
December 28, 2023: Winona, MN 55987 The Winona Winhawks basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Dover-Eyota Eagles to 48 in the Winhawks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Winhawks now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kasson-Mantorville for a AAA Section 1 contest on Friday, December 29. Winona will battle a Komets team coming off a 64-49 non-league loss to Lourdes (Rochester, MN). The Komets record now stands at 2-5.
The Eagles (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lake City (Lake City, MN). The Tigers come into the AA Section 1 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Lake City dropped by Stewartville (Stewartville, MN), 63-49, in a non-league contest.
