Hawaii High School Basketball - Konawaena overwhelms Kohala
December 28, 2023: Kapaau, HI 96755 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Konawaena Wildcats (Kealakekua, HI) and the host Kohala Cowboys (Kapaau, HI), saw Konawaena's basketball squad wallop Kohala by a tally of 73-22.
With the victory, Konawaena improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Pahoa (Pahoa, HI) to confront the Daggers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Daggers come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Pahoa won 48-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Hilo (Hilo, HI)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the Hilo Vikings (Hilo, HI) in a Big Island challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Kohala will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 48-31 non-league loss to Pahoa (Pahoa, HI).
