California High School Basketball - La Costa Canyon knocked off by University
December 28, 2023: Carlsbad, CA 92009 The University Red Devils basketball team scored 41 points and held the host La Costa Canyon Mavericks to 33 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Red Devils now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brea Olinda for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. University will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 54-40 non-league win over Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-9.
The Mavericks (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Pinole Valley was defeated by Brea Olinda (Brea, CA), 54-40, in a non-league contest.
