Alabama High School Basketball - Opelika overwhelmed by Thompson
December 28, 2023: Alabaster, AL 35007 The Thompson Warriors basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Opelika Bulldogs to 26 in the Warriors non-league victory on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southside for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Thompson will battle a Panthers team coming off a 71-53 non-league win over Hueytown (Hueytown, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-2.
The Bulldogs (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lanett (Lanett, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Lanett was routed by Callaway (Hogansville, GA), 50-15, in a non-league contest.
