The Salem Lions basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Tipton Blue Devils to 17 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Borden for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Salem will battle a Braves team coming off a 51-23 non-league loss to Franklin Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Braves record now stands at 13-2.

The Blue Devils (0-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mississinewa (Gas City, IN). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Mississinewa triumphed over Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN), 59-39, in a non-league contest.
