Kentucky High School Basketball - South Laurel can't hold off Westmoreland
December 28, 2023: London, KY 40744 The Westmoreland Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host South Laurel Cardinals to 39 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Henderson County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Westmoreland will battle a Colonels team coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 7-4.
The Cardinals (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Fighting Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Breckinridge County was nudged by Henderson County (Henderson, KY), 52-49, in a non-league contest.
