December 28, 2023: Lake Leelanau, MI 49653 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary Eagles (Lake Leelanau, MI) and the visiting St. Francis Gladiators (Traverse City, MI), saw St. Mary's basketball squad overcome St. Francis by a tally of 45-26.
With the victory, St. Mary improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Leland (Leland, MI) to confront the Comets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
Next up, the Gladiators confront the Kalkaska Blazers (Kalkaska, MI) in a Lake Michigan challenge, on Thursday, January 4. St. Francis will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Blazers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 71-38 non-league loss to Evart (Evart, MI).
