December 28, 2023: Merion Station, PA 19066 Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA), 32-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pope John Paul II upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The travel to Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA) to clash with the Indians in a bout on Thursday, January 4. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Villa Joseph Marie Jems (Holland, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Merion Mercy Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
