California High School Basketball - Escondido thwarts Clairemont
December 28, 2023: Escondido, CA 92026 The Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA), 43-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cougars (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Chula Vista (Chula Vista, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Chula Vista went down by Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA), 52-46, in a non-league test.
The Chieftains now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to San Diego for a non-league test on Friday, December 29. Clairemont will encounter a Cavers squad coming off a 45-39 non-league win over Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA). The Cavers record now stands at 1-3.
