New York High School Basketball - St. Francis Prep bests Academy of the New Church

The St. Francis Prep Terriers basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Academy of the New Church Lions to 53 in the Terriers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Terriers now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Archbishop Molloy for a Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens game on Friday, January 3.

With the loss, Academy of the New Church falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Glenelg Country (Ellicott City, MD) to confront the Dragons in a non-league game on Sunday, December 29. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 6-1. Glenelg Country won 73-72 in their recent league game against Boys Latin (Baltimore, MD)
