Texas High School Basketball - Brazoswood holds off Alvin
December 28, 2024: Clute, TX 77531 The Brazoswood Buccaneers basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Alvin Yellowjackets to 49 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Buccaneers now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Deer Park for a 6A Region III District 24 game on Friday, January 3. Brazoswood will confront a Deer team coming off a 63-51 non-league win over McNeil (Austin, TX). The Deer record now stands at 10-11.
With the loss, Alvin falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Dawson (Pearland, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 11-10. Dawson lost 66-51 in their recent non-league game against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX)
