December 28, 2024: Los Angeles, CA 90036 Bakersfield Christian Eagles (Bakersfield, CA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA), 61-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bakersfield Christian advances its record to 7-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA) to face the Seraphs in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Seraphs enter the match with a record of 12-5. St. Bonaventure won 75-66 in their recent non-league match against King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA)
The Firehawks now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) for a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. Shalhevet will face a Panthers squad coming off a 62-47 non-league win over Valley Torah (Valley Village, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-8.
