Massachusetts High School Basketball - Brookline can't get by La Salle Academy
December 28, 2024: Brookline, MA 02445 La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Brookline Warriors (Brookline, MA), 63-57 in a league match.
With the victory, La Salle Academy advances its record to 6-1 on the year. The Rams travel to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI) to meet the Patriots in a Division 1 match on Friday, January 3. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 4-0. Portsmouth won 87-60 in their recent non-league match against St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI)
The Warriors now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton North for a Bay State - Carey match on Friday, January 3. Brookline will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 69-63 non-league win over Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
