Texas High School Basketball - Nazareth holds off Canadian
December 28, 2024: Canadian, TX 79014 The Nazareth Swifts basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Canadian Wildcats to 50 in the Swifts non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Swifts now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Happy for a 1A Region I District 4 game on Friday, January 3. Nazareth will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 38-32 non-league loss to Clarendon (Clarendon, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 12-6.
With the loss, Canadian falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Dumas (Dumas, TX) to confront the Demons in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Demons go into the game with a record of 9-9. Dumas won 64-48 in their recent league game against Borger (Borger, TX)
