In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Celina Bobcats basketball team scored a big 79-46 triumph over the Commerce Tigers.

The Bobcats (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, North Lamar smashed Rivercrest (Bogata, TX), 55-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 contest, on Friday, January 3. Commerce will attempt to better on its 13-7 season record.
