December 28, 2024: Centralia, IL 62801 Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL), 52-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Centralia upgrades its record to 11-3 on the year. The Orphans host Evanston (Evanston, IL) to face the Wildkits in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Wildkits enter the match with a record of 11-1. Evanston won 61-53 in their recent non-league match against Alton (Alton, IL)
The RedHawks now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Rita for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Marist will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-36 non-league loss to Wheaton Academy (West Chicago, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-10.
