The Clinton Comets basketball squad (Clinton, NY), was crushed 70-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Potsdam Sandstoners (Potsdam, NY)

With the victory, Potsdam advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Sandstoners travel to South Jefferson (Adams, NY) to meet the Spartans in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 4-1.

The Comets now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holland Patent for a non-league battle on Sunday, December 29. Clinton will meet a Golden Knights squad coming off a 76-61 non-league loss to Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 2-4.
