Illinois High School Basketball - Hyde Park holds off Crete-Monee
December 28, 2024: Crete, IL 60417 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Hyde Park Thunderbirds basketball team scored a close 49-45 triumph over the Crete-Monee Warriors.
The Thunderbirds (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Evergreen Park was tipped by Kenwood (Chicago, IL), 92-74, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, January 5. Crete-Monee will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 55-38 non-league loss to New Trier (Winnetka, IL).
