December 28, 2024: Houston, TX 77089 The Huntsville Hornets basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Dobie Longhorns to 45 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hornets now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 17 game on Friday, January 3. Huntsville will confront a Bears team coming off a 66-37 non-league win over Canyon Lake (Fischer, TX). The Bears record now stands at 14-8.
With the loss, Dobie falls to 4-19 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Sam Rayburn (Pasadena, TX) to confront the Texans in a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 3. The Texans go into the game with a record of 5-17. Sam Rayburn lost 71-50 in their recent non-league game against Tarkington (Cleveland, TX)
